An entry for 's GLOW contest.

Scoria lives on the black market selling false gauntlets.  She makes them using her skills in glass blowing and silversmithing, but she also knows a fair bit of blacksmithing if the case calls for it.   Her merchandise looks more like jewlery than anything you would protect your hand with.  Anyone who has seen the real thing wouldn't even look her way, but since most haven't the buisness is quite profitable.  Those who pay the exorbitiant price will try to demand a refund, only to find she has already left town.

In the event she found a real gauntlet, she would make dozens of counterfeits to conceal it (and of course, profit off their sale).  If, in the unlikely event she managed to collect all of them, she would wish for... more gauntlets.  That way, anyone could make a wish, so long as they could afford it.
